Eve & EF Consulting

EF Consulting provides senior marketing leadership to interiors, flooring, furniture, lighting and design-led manufacturing businesses: a fractional marketing director, brand and marketing strategy, UK market entry for overseas manufacturers, and implementation with trusted specialist partners.

Based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, Eve works across the UK and with manufacturers overseas that need to enter or develop the UK market. Her experience connects brand strategy and marketing leadership with the practical routes through which furniture, flooring and interiors products reach their buyers.

EF Consulting is also referred to as Eve Fitzhenry Consulting. Eve is the founder and senior point of contact. Her role combines direction and judgement with coordination of the people delivering the work; it is not limited to advice handed over at the end of a presentation.

When senior marketing support helps

The right starting point is the decision or delivery problem the business needs to solve. These situations connect the published services to common leadership needs; they are not eligibility rules based on turnover or company size.

The managing director owns every marketing decision

Fractional leadership gives the business a senior marketing point of contact, with responsibility for direction, priorities and the people delivering the work.

Service expertise

Fractional marketing leadership

A fractional marketing director provides senior marketing leadership without a full-time appointment. Eve works alongside owners, managing directors and leadership teams as part of the business, typically for a few days a month. The arrangement can scale with the business’s needs; the scope and commitment are agreed in conversation.

This suits a business where marketing decisions keep returning to the managing director, an internal marketer needs direction, or several agencies are doing useful work without a shared plan. The need is for leadership and judgement: deciding what marketing is for, setting priorities and keeping activity connected to the commercial objectives.

Eve’s work covers direction, planning and budgets, positioning, briefing and reviewing delivery, and support for the sales team. She can work with an existing marketer, an agency or specialist partners. The client retains a clear senior point of contact rather than having to reconcile separate suppliers’ recommendations.

The established review rhythm includes a short weekly check-in, a monthly report against objectives and a broader review every six months. The Bjelin case study illustrates collaboration with local leadership and an overseas headquarters; it is evidence of how Eve works, rather than a promise of identical results for every client.

Brand and marketing strategy

Marketing strategy gives a business a clear account of its audiences, proposition, priorities and next actions. Eve’s discovery work is intended for launches, repositioning and changes of direction where decisions need a stronger foundation before more money is committed to campaigns or channels.

The investigation can include time with leadership and sales teams, customer conversations, a marketing and asset audit, and a competitor and market review. The depth depends on the agreed brief. Existing photography, literature, websites, channels and data are considered so that useful assets can be retained and gaps understood.

The resulting work connects positioning and messaging to specific buyers, channel choices and a six-month plan. It addresses what the products should say, where the budget goes, what happens next and how progress will be assessed. Objectives and measures are agreed in the context of the business rather than inferred from activity alone.

The published options are Marketing Review and Full Discovery. A review provides a focused starting point; full discovery takes the investigation further. A written strategy can be taken away and run by the client, or Eve can be asked to lead subsequent work. Discovery does not require an ongoing retainer.

Service expertise

UK market entry and development

Eve supports overseas flooring, furniture, lighting and design-led manufacturers entering or developing the UK market. The work starts with the routes through which the UK buys: the relevant distributors, buying groups, independent retailers, dealers and specification audiences, rather than treating the market as a single audience.

Localisation goes beyond translating head-office copy. The positioning, product story, channels, trade communications and timing need to make sense to UK buyers. A residential offer may need a different approach from commercial specification, even where the products and parent brand are shared.

Support can cover UK positioning, distributor and specification channels, trade PR, e-marketing, launch shows and a coordinated launch approach. Eve can work with an overseas marketing team on briefings, approvals and adapting existing assets, keeping activity connected to UK objectives.

Bjelin UK provides the principal published example: developing residential demand through distribution alongside an existing commercial presence, while working with UK colleagues and the Swedish marketing team. Marketing support does not replace specialist product-compliance, legal or logistics advice.

Service expertise

Marketing implementation and ongoing support

Implementation turns an agreed direction into coordinated work. It is relevant when a business has a plan but needs someone to brief suppliers, connect activities and keep delivery moving. Eve leads the work with support from an industry-experienced account manager and trusted specialist partners where the brief requires them.

The service includes trade communications, PR, email and CRM activity, campaign coordination, distributor support and exhibition delivery. Specialist execution is scoped within the plan. Eve’s leadership and coordination should be distinguished from production tasks carried out by designers, web specialists, photographers or other partners.

Exhibition support considers the work before, during and after the event: briefings, organisers and stand requirements; on-site support where agreed; and follow-up, lead handover and review. A stand is part of a wider campaign, with a purpose and a next step for the people it reaches.

Bjelin’s approved evidence includes trade press activity, email campaigns, a UK CRM and delivery of a programme of shows. These examples demonstrate the breadth of the work. They do not imply that every engagement includes the same activities, staffing or package; scope is agreed against the client’s priorities.

Industry knowledge, grounded in experience

Eve’s career spans contract furniture, premium interiors and commercial flooring. Her experience includes Allermuir, The Senator Group, Gresham Office Furniture, Boss Design and Headlam, followed by her own consultancy. The career timeline identifies former employment, the move from employment to consulting at Headlam, and EF Consulting separately.

In flooring, residential and commercial markets need different messages and routes to buyers. In furniture and interiors, the specification process can begin well before a purchasing decision. Architects and designers may influence the choice while contractors, dealers or other parties buy the product.

Distributors, buying groups, retailers and agents also need different support. A national distributor needs demand; a regional partner needs a consistent toolkit; a sales team needs material that helps open doors. Trade shows and publications matter in relation to those audiences and the decisions they are making.

Lighting and design-led products are included in EF Consulting’s current service coverage. That scope should be distinguished from the documented career history in furniture, flooring and interiors. The published work and biography provide the evidence for specific experience.

Principal published project

Bjelin UK: local direction, coordinated delivery

Eve’s Bjelin work supports residential market development through distribution alongside the brand’s existing commercial presence. It brings together UK strategy, trade communications, distributor and specification support, and collaboration with the UK team and Swedish headquarters.

The approved case study describes adapting Swedish and global content to UK audiences and coordinating briefings and approvals. Eve’s advisory role in aligning paid digital with UK objectives is distinct from personally delivering every specialist activity.

The outcomes below are supplied and approved by Bjelin UK, reported in November 2026. They describe this engagement and its reporting period, not guaranteed results for future clients.

Award-winning

Woodura flooring named Product Innovation of the Year at the 2026 National Flooring Awards, one of three awards won in 2026

PR

To date 24 press releases and placements in 2026, with coverage across more than a dozen UK trade, specification and interiors titles

E-marketing

a 40% open rate on trade solus campaigns, with the trade campaigns producing a direct retailer lead

Own email channel

launched from scratch, with monthly campaigns to three audiences: specifiers, housebuilders and independent retailers

Events

full events program fully delivered, including Flooring Show South, INDX and Harrogate

Sales infrastructure

a UK CRM built from scratch, and a six-month campaign running with the flooring buying groups

The award is recognition for Bjelin’s flooring product. Press activity, email engagement and a reported retailer lead should not be interpreted as an independently measured revenue uplift attributable to Eve.

“Working with Eve has been very positive for our business. Her knowledge of the industry and ability to help us pivot and take advantage of new opportunities driven by professional PR and marketing assets have been invaluable. Eve works exceptionally well with the team and is a partner to the leaders and a guiding hand for the wider team. It's always a pleasure.”

Triangle: strategy and content direction

The Triangle case study describes strategic and content work for a software business moving towards a product-led model. It provides a complementary example of discovery, positioning and content planning. It is not used here to claim an unverified numerical growth result.

How the work is agreed

The starting point is a conversation about the business, its objectives and the decisions that need to be made. Where the direction is unclear, a marketing review or fuller discovery establishes the basis for the plan. Research depth and deliverables depend on the brief.

The next stage may be a standalone project, implementation support or ongoing fractional leadership. Responsibilities, time commitment, specialist support and fees are agreed before the engagement. Discovery can stand alone; the client can take the written strategy away and run it internally.

Marketing support does not replace product-compliance, legal or logistics advice. Nor should every implementation task be assumed to be included in a leadership arrangement. Clear scope establishes what Eve leads, what the internal team owns and where specialist execution is needed.

Questions about working with Eve

What does Eve Fitzhenry do?

Eve is the founder of EF Consulting, a fractional marketing director, brand and marketing strategist and UK go-to-market lead. She works with interiors and design-led businesses on direction, planning and coordinated delivery.

Who is EF Consulting best suited to?

Owners, managing directors and leadership teams who need senior marketing direction, and overseas manufacturers developing the UK. Typical needs include an unsupported internal marketer, fragmented supplier activity, a launch, a repositioning or a plan that needs delivery ownership.

When does a manufacturer need a fractional marketing director?

When marketing needs senior judgement and accountability but a full-time appointment is not the right arrangement. The relevant question is who is setting priorities, directing delivery and reviewing the work against business objectives.

Can Eve work alongside our existing agency?

Yes. The fractional model can include briefing, managing and reviewing agency work. The aim is a shared direction and clearer decisions, with the exact responsibilities agreed for the engagement.

Can Eve support an in-house marketer?

Yes. Her published model includes directing and mentoring an in-house marketer, giving them priorities and a plan to run with, while working alongside leadership and sales.

What is the difference between strategy and implementation?

Strategy establishes audiences, positioning, priorities, channels and the plan. Implementation coordinates the activity that follows. A client can commission discovery and run the plan internally, or agree further support with Eve.

Does UK market entry include adapting head-office marketing?

It can. Eve’s Bjelin work includes adapting Swedish and global marketing for UK audiences and coordinating briefings and approval workflows with the Swedish team. The full scope depends on the agreed brief.

Can Eve support distributors and dealers?

Yes. Distributor and dealer marketing is part of her UK go-to-market and implementation work. The approach considers the support each route needs, rather than assuming a national distributor, regional partner and agent network operate in the same way.

How does specification marketing differ from retail marketing?

Architects and designers can influence what gets bought without buying directly themselves. Specification therefore involves early consideration, confidence in the product and repeat relationships, while retailers and dealers have their own range, demand and selling-support needs.

Can Eve coordinate trade shows and exhibitions?

Yes. Her implementation service describes support before, during and after shows. The Bjelin case study records delivery including Flooring Show South, INDX and Harrogate. On-site requirements and specialist production are agreed within scope.

Is an ongoing retainer required after discovery?

No. Discovery can be a standalone engagement. The written strategy can be run by the client, or Eve can be asked to lead the next stage.

How are fees and scope agreed?

Fees are quoted in conversation against the brief. Decisions to be made, research depth, time commitment, delivery responsibilities and specialist support are discussed before agreeing the engagement.

Where does Eve work?

EF Consulting is based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Eve works across the UK and with overseas manufacturers entering or developing the UK market. Location alone does not define the fit; the business’s needs and agreed scope matter.

What evidence can I review before enquiring?

Read the Bjelin UK case study for approved work and 2026 outcomes, the Triangle case study for strategy and content work, and Eve’s career timeline for her industry background. Former employment and consulting engagements are identified separately.

Does Eve provide compliance or logistics advice for market entry?

Marketing support does not replace specialist product-compliance, legal or logistics advice. Those requirements should be addressed with appropriate specialists alongside the marketing plan.

How do I start a conversation?

Use the Book a Conversation page to choose a time in Eve’s calendar or send an enquiry. Describe the business, the decisions or delivery needs and your timeframe so the discussion can focus on the right support.
