Start with discovery, then choose the support that fits.

Start small, then build as the brand grows. Every engagement follows the same four moves, at whatever depth the business needs.

  1. 01

    Discover

Two to four weeks understanding where you are: the business, the market, the audiences, what you have and what’s missing.

  2. 02

    Establish direction

Positioning, messaging and an outline strategy, written down and agreed, with a six-month plan per channel.

  3. 03

    Choose the level of support

Run the plan yourselves, or choose Bronze, Silver or Gold monthly support, shaped by what discovery tells us.

  4. 04

    Implement and review

Weekly check-ins, monthly reporting against objectives, and a proper review at six months.

01 · First, understand the business

Step 1 · Discovery: two ways to start

Both produce a written strategy and a six-month plan. The difference is depth: how many people we talk to, how far into the market we look, and how detailed the plan gets.

Discovery, direction, then the work.

Step 2 · Monthly support: three levels, shaped by what discovery tells us

Monthly support starts once discovery is complete, on a rolling basis. Each level includes everything in the one before it.

Step 3 · Specialist projects

Some things sit outside monthly support and are scoped on their own.

Exhibition and event supportPer-event fee, quoted in conversation

Shows and exhibitions, handled end to end. For Bronze or Silver clients, or on its own. Included in Gold.

  • Stand design
  • Briefing and liaising with your stand builders and organisers
  • Pre-show marketing to get the right people on the stand
  • Post-show marketing and follow-up
  • On-site support during build-up and on the stand, if required
A full brand launchScoped and quoted separately

Where the work is a completely new brand rather than marketing an existing one, it is scoped and quoted separately.

  • Brand strategy and positioning; brand architecture across ranges and sub-brands
  • Naming and messaging; logo development and visual identity; brand guidelines and tone of voice
  • Go-to-market strategy and launch plan
  • New website, from structure and copy to build
  • Brochures, presentations and price lists; packaging and point of sale
  • Social channels and launch content; launch PR and a launch event or show
A UK market launchScoped and quoted separately

For manufacturers outside the UK: discovery shaped around the UK launch, then support that scales with the shows and the first distributors.

  • Launch review or full discovery, including a website review for the UK
  • Positioning and messaging for UK designers, retailers and specifiers
  • Marketing that supports your agents or distributors
  • Show support for the launch shows
A defined strategy projectScoped and quoted separately

A one-off piece of thinking: a repositioning, a new-range launch plan, a review before a show season. Scoped from the discovery options.

  • Scope agreed in conversation
  • A written strategy and plan you can run yourselves

Questions I’m usually asked

Do I have to take monthly support after discovery?

No. Discovery is a self-contained piece of work. Many clients run the plan themselves; some keep me on. The strategy is written to work both ways.

How long is the commitment?

Monthly support is rolling. No long contracts; the arrangement flexes as the marketing function, and the business, grows.

What isn’t included in the fees?

Fees cover EF Consulting’s time. Third-party costs such as email platforms, paid advertising, photography, print, stand space and award entry fees are additional and agreed with you in advance.

Can you quote without a conversation?

I’d rather not. Half an hour tells me which discovery option fits and whether monthly support makes sense at all. Then you get a one-page proposal with everything on it.
