Who is responsible
EF Consulting is the trading name of Eve Fitzhenry, based in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, United Kingdom [legal form and any ICO registration number to be confirmed by Eve]. Eve is the data controller for anything you share through this site. Questions and requests: eve@efconsulting.co.uk.
What this site collects, and why
The enquiry form
When you use “Tell me about your business” the form asks for your name, email address and business name, and optionally your website, phone number, country, sector, what you need help with, a timeframe and some context. It is stored securely in Netlify Forms for Eve to review so she can reply to you and prepare for a conversation. The legal basis is your consent (the tick box) and, once a conversation begins, the steps needed before a contract.
If the direct delivery service is unavailable, the form opens your own email app with the details filled in instead; nothing is then sent until you press send. Successful submissions are stored in the site’s Netlify Forms account.
Booking a conversation
“Book a conversation” displays Eve’s Microsoft Bookings calendar within this website. The embedded calendar stays blocked until you select Allow Microsoft calendar. You can disable it above the calendar, or use the enquiry form without enabling it. Once enabled, it loads directly from Microsoft. Microsoft processes the details you enter there under its own privacy terms, and the booking appears in Eve’s calendar. Microsoft receives technical information when the embed loads; booking information is available to Eve through her Microsoft calendar.
Email and phone
If you email or call, Eve keeps the correspondence for as long as the conversation or any resulting work needs it.
Analytics, only with your permission
If analytics is switched on for this site, a banner asks before anything is measured. Allowing it lets Google Analytics 4 count visits and show which pages are read, without advertising features. Declining, or not choosing, means nothing is loaded. You can change your choice on the cookies page.
Hosting
The site is served by Netlify, which records ordinary server logs (such as the address a request came from and the page requested) to run and protect the service.
What this site does not do
- No advertising or social-media tracking, and optional third-party services stay blocked until you choose.
- No selling, renting or sharing of your details with anyone for their own use.
- No automated decisions about you.
How long information is kept
Enquiries are kept in Eve’s email for as long as needed to respond and, if you become a client, for the duration of the work and the period afterwards that accounting and professional obligations require [period to be confirmed]. If you ask, an enquiry that went nowhere is deleted.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run the site and deliver your message: Netlify for hosting and form submissions, Microsoft for bookings, and Google Analytics only if you allow it. Each processes data on Eve’s behalf or under its own published terms. Information may be processed outside the UK by these providers under appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what information Eve holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email eve@efconsulting.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

This page is dated at the top and changes when the site’s behaviour changes.
